Support came back to me and even after I lost my cool with them, they responded in a very calm and polite manner, showing great customer service. I was rather surprised that someone came back to the message that I had left on the page, after noticing that no one had been active on it for a while. I managed to ellicit a response from their Facebook page. I, then proceed to contact ZenHotels and the lady that answered the phone, put me on hold for quite a while and didn't respond to me in the space of two weeks. I am rather fortunate I checked in with the hotel, otherwise we would have have arrived much to my dismay at a booking that we had not approved. Unfortunately, it was a romantic weekend for myself and my fiance, so a King size was what we wanted. The hotel accepted the confirmation, however I discovered that they had booked it under a single twin bed suite instead of a King size. ![]() After I booked, I waited for a few weeks and then contacted the hotel, to confirm. I booked a hotel in Dubai via ZenHotels as they offered the lowest rate available, that I was able to find. See uploaded image on the emails from zenhotels. After a few more rounds of email, they came back and offered to paltry US$50 discount to book a suite in the hotel they originally offered to move me to without any additional cost. After waiting for more than 10 days, they came back and deny to honour the promise and instead only offer to waive 1 day of the room charge or do a full refund. The alternative is cheaper than any of the suites offered.ĥ. I choose one of the hotel given and offered an alternative, a partial downgrade of the room with an upgrade of the meal option or the suite room as offered. ![]() After waiting for a week, was given the choice of 3 hotels. After checking with zenhotels, they indicated that they shldnt be allowed to book that room as the hotel is under going partial reno and promised to move me to a suite in another comparable hotel in the region without any additional costĤ. After confirmation, checked with hotel and was notify that only a standard double room was bookedģ. Booked a suite double room through which I had actually confirmed the room type via online chat before booking.Ģ. I would just pay the extra money and go with somebody more reputable.ġ. So essentially I paid them for being homeless for the night. To top everything off I had the privilege of paying a foreign transaction fee for the room that I didn't receive which is strange since the hotel accepts US dollars and I paid in US dollars. After a few hours of repeated attempts to call their customer support they finally just stated they couldn't help me find a room and left me stranded for the night. They tried to find me another room but failed miserably in the attempt. I called Zenhotels support and they couldn't tell me why I didn't have a room available. I had a booking confirmation from Zenhotels and when I went to check in at the hotel they said that there was no record of my reservation with them. ![]() I live in Northern California so I made the drive down to Anaheim expecting my room to be ready when I got there. The prices were great for a hotel room that was close to the park, so I booked my room. Recently I booked a hotel through them for my trip to Disneyland. Too good to be true is almost always the case, and if you're paying a much lower price on these types of sites, that means an equivalent amount of added risk.To anybody that is curious about this travel site, I would like to share my experience in dealing with them. Tons of people have a terrible experience, but sometimes things do go smoothly enough for people. ![]() In my experience, disputed CC charges are easier to navigate when only dealing with one party (the hotel), but I guess there are circumstances where a larger OTA like Expedia/Booking can intervene and make it easier if a hotel's services aren't as advertised (which again can sometimes be the fault of the OTA).Īnother note: Super Travel also pays for most of their 5-star reviews on sites like TrustPilot, while suppressing many 1-star legitimate reviews, so don't fall for that deception that fools many. Doesn't happen always, but just be nice and see what they can do for you. If you're saving hundreds of dollars and that savings is worth it to you, it could be worth a gamble.īetter option always is to call the hotel to see if they'll throw in any perks or price adjustments to get you part or all of the way there. If you get a double charge or dropped reservation or whatever other problem, it's very possible their shitty customer service will string you along for weeks/months. These small OTAs are after your money first, and the services rendered come secondary. If you book just make sure to check with the hotel to see if they have your booking. Like all sketchy OTAs, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
